His role encompasses overseeing all aspects of operations, optimizing organizational efficiency, and fostering client relationships. Ghedi’s ability to navigate complex logistics challenges has positioned the company as a leader in the industry.

Under Ghedi’s direction, the staff at Lucent Services is committed to its core principles of communicating with the customer throughout the shipping process, continuing to monitor the movement of customer shipments, making educated and responsible decisions resulting in effective solutions, and responding to each customer’s specific needs.

Before founding Lucent Services LLC, Abdulaziz Ghedi served as President of Irving-based AMG Express LLC for five years, where he was instrumental in managing day-to-day operations, prioritizing building long-term client relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of shipments. His emphasis on customer satisfaction and carrier safety metrics underscored his dedication to delivering unparalleled value to clients.

Earlier in his career, Ghedi spent three years honing his operational skills as the General Manager of Tigers Transport LLC in Rochester, Minnesota. His responsibilities included tracking and managing drivers daily, notifying drivers of pickup and delivery assignments, updating the shipment tracking system and maintaining data integrity, prioritizing time-sensitive cargo, selecting products for specific routes, and communicating all emergencies.

Early Career at IBM

Ghedi began his career at IBM in Rochester, Minnesota, where he worked as a Technician Specialist. During his tenure at IBM, he developed strong technical problem-solving skills and remained at the forefront of emerging technologies. Ghedi’s commitment to community service extends to his seven years as a board member of the Somali Resource Center, where he worked to address pressing issues within the Somali diaspora.

Ghedi earned a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, providing him with a strong foundation in leadership and strategic thinking. He also holds an Associate of Applied Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from Rochester Community and Technical College and an Associate of Science in Telecommunications from Baltimore City Community College.
